I am certainly different! What I am about to list is said in complete humility, as those who know me, are aware that I am in fact a sensitive person, who finds it difficult to blow my own trumpet. Perhaps this occurs in a way that my parents would never have expected. I would like to think that I am living up to my name. Now, I find this extremely amazing for the times that were lived, and I am extremely honoured that my parents would think this way. When I was named at that tender age, my parents gave me the “Y” in order to express that I wasn’t going to be a PLAIN JANE!” By adding the “Y” to Jane, I would bring less of plainness, simply by the label given. I obviously know the strong impact of keeping a “surname,” as if a clan, or lineage is more than “patriotic.” I’m not here to talk history however, as that can simply be Googled… I could be wrong on this suggestion, but when we can compare the more liberal ideas that evolve in today’s society, I can see that things are constantly becoming more creative. I have the impression that back in the 70’s, names were still given with a little bit of rigidity. I do also think that (as a general rule), names come from a special place that a parent, or the parents, bring forward with love and meaning. It is true to say that I do love my name and wouldn’t have any plans to change it. When my parents named me, my middle name was given as “Jayne.” This is a very brief story, but sometimes I feel it is important to share the simple things, so that history is never lost. Let Me Tell You a Brief Story About My Name
